Nipples can be divided into 3 as follows

1. Stainless Welding Threaded Nipple or Pipe Nipple: The outer-side is a piece of the external-threaded pipe 5-10 cm long.

2. Hex Nipple, Stainless Steel Hex Barrel Nipple: or Hexgone shaped nipples with a middle key spout. There are 5-10 cm long threaded at both ends of this Nippel.

3. Barrel Pipe Nipple or Stainless Steel Barrel Nipple Threaded: is a 5-10 cm pipe with a 2-3 cm threaded part on both ends.  

Thread Norms are generally used in two Norms. "NPT" thread is used in ANSI standards. WHITWORTH PIPE THREAD measures are used in BSPT Thread Norms. BSPT-BSP THREAD norm is mainly used in installations and stainless fittings. 
Quality standards; It is available in the market as AISI304 / 304L, AISI316 / 316L, EN1.4307, EN 1.4404. 

Usage areas; It is used in pipe installations, liquid, gas, and solid-fluid lines. 
Stainless fittings are mainly used in corrosive environments places, requiring hygiene or decorative purposes. 

Colloquially, It is also called Threaded Fitting, Chrome Fitting, Chrome Nipple, and Chrome installation materials.
